Illness Boredom!

So after having to take 2 days off training with a sore throat, the boredom of lounging around on the sofa all day got to me... so I decided to make some mini cherry cupcakes and larger cherry cupcakes! I wasn't feeling too artistic though, so I went for the plain and simple.

Oh and I tried making some cupcakes by adding dairy milk chocolate....they didn't come out looking so good, but tasted AMAZING! They were a but like heated up rolo cookies :)
Also.. I've decided I'm addicted to using glitter - I can't help but put it on everything!!
Using my iPhone to blog this, but I'm hoping it will turn out the same.
Becks :)

25 Wedding Anniversary ♥

My love for cupcakes started when I decided to bake cupcakes for my parents Silver Wedding Anniversary. I'm a lover of bright colours, and when I think about love, Pink springs to mind. So this is the colour theme I decided to go for. The designs were a little messy (baring in mind this was my first time ever piping frosting), so they weren't too bad, but I fell in love with making them straight away. So I'm hoping my designs will get better and better all the time. But we will see. I'll keep you updated :)

Ingredients used for the Cake:
3 Eggs
150g Caster Sugar
150g Butter
150g Self-Raising Flour
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
2 Tbsp Milk

Frosting:
Pink food colouring
5oz Butter
5oz Icing Sugar

I also decided to make a Victoria Sponge and tried to ice it - It was so much hard to do than it looks on YouTube! But I gave it a go. I think I'll be sticking to my cupcakes instead as you can see......

I have a love for cupcakes. It’s undeniable.
So... I want to share my love with all the other cupcake lovers out there. It's all so inspiring seeing the pretty designs. I find myself wanting to bake *all* the time. I'll be keeping you up to date with the things I'm trying out, lots of pictures too - I'm new to this though, so you'll have to bare with me. Becks :)
